Blood Obsession came to be in an interesting way. In 1984 while working at a hospital and going to school, free time was precious. Working the evening shift and too awake to sleep, my girlfriend and I started to write a story. Story telling in 1986 was quite different then. No computers. No google earth to check a location. Alternating typing and talking, we created Max and Bobbi. Road trips to the boroughs of NYC and Westchester brought locations into view. Time moved on and lives moved forward. The story, completed languished in a cardboard box. Indie publishing wasn’t a thing. In May of 1989, life turned on its ear. Cancer overwhelmed my friends body. Instead of carrying a bouquet down the aisle as my matron of honor, I placed the bouquet on her grave one week before I was married. Her spouse, a truly remarkable man, stood in her place at my side. Flash forward to 2012, I was lying in a hospital bed after a bout of uncontrolled Lupus and a stroke. Her bucket list and mine merged and I took the unnamed story out of storage. It serves today as a gift to her, a piece of me and a gift for my readers.
